Dubai Municipality Product Certification
Dubai Municipality Product Certification is a service whereby an independent third party (PCAS at DCL) provides a confirmation that a product meets the requirements of its related standard specification or adopted regulations.
FSSC 22000 — Food Safety System Certification
FSSC 22000 Food Safety System Certification covers the key requirements of many existing food safety standards and programs including: GMP, HACCP, SQF, BRC, IFS and GlobalGAP. FSSC 22000 is the most comprehensive food safety management system certification scheme because it fully incorporates ISO 22000, sector specific prerequisite programs (PRPs) such as ISO/TS 22002-1 and ISO/TS 22002 , HACCP and the application steps of CODEX Alimentarius.

The FSSC 22000 scheme is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). This allows your organization to use FSSC 22000 to meet the requirements of several global retailers or major branded food companies under a single, internationally recognized food safety management system.

Kosher Certification
The word kosher means “fit” and refers to food items prepared in compliance with kosher law. To be certified kosher, a kosher certification agency must attest that all ingredients in the product and the process of preparing the product meet kosher standards. To do this, the kosher certification agency checks the sources of all ingredients, verifies the kosher status of equipment in manufacturing, and sets up a system by which the integrity of both ingredients and equipment is monitored and maintained. The certification agency will also determine if the product contains dairy ingredients or is produced on equipment used for dairy products, so as to preclude consumers mixing meat and dairy foods (which is not allowed in kosher law).

A reputable kosher certification agency is staffed by Rabbis who have years of education and experience and are able to deal with kosher-related issues that might arise in a certified facility.

EQM — Emirates Quality Mark
Emirates Quality Mark means the product has been tested and it is identical to the standards and the producer of this product has an effective system of quality management. Emirates Quality Mark is a symbol of conformity granted to the products that can demonstrate compliance with the relevant UAE standards. All the UAE government regulated products, the suppliers/manufacture must register the products to obtain the EQM before to sell inside the country of UAE. The certification process of achieving the license to use the EQM involves a comprehensive evaluation of the product as well as the quality system used by the manufacturer in production through auditing, testing and inspection.
ECAS — Emirates Conformity Assessment Scheme
ECAS is a Product Certification Scheme being implemented by the (ESMA) as mandated by the Federal Law 28 of 2001. As per the product certification scheme, all regulated products must meet the requirements for the quality and safety specified in the technical regulations adopted by the UAE government. So all the regulated products, the suppliers must register the products to obtain the certificate of conformity before to sell inside the country of UAE.

Industrial Measurement System
Industrial Measurement System is a metrology system scheme being implemented by the (ESMA) as per Resolution of the Chairman of the Board of Directors No. 9 of 2017 Concerning the Adoption of the Industrial Measurements System. As per the IMS scheme, the industries dealing with the products (Bottled Drinking Water, Gas Cylinders, Paints and Varnishes, Fresh Chicken Meat, Non-Alcoholic Energy Drinks, Detergents, Juices and Beverages, Perfumes, Vegetable Oils, Fizzy Drinks) must meet the requirements for the quality and safety specified in the technical regulations adopted by the UAE government. So, all the regulated products, the manufacturers/producers must register the facility to obtain the certificate of registration before starting the work inside the country of UAE.
